Augsburg is a lovely city of about 266,000 people in the German Federal State of Bavaria. Founded as “Augusta Vindelicorum “. From the 13th century Augsburg was a free imperial city. Architecturally Augsburg is dominated by the city architect Elias Holl. Many public buildings were designed by him. For example, the city council, the slaughterhouse, the Red Gate and the armory. The most important sites to see in Augsburg are: Bertolt Brecht Haus: The birth place of the writer. Now this house hosts an interesting museum which is dedicated to Leopold Mozart and his son Wolfgang A Mozart.
